Long-billed White-eye
Rukia longirostra
Bizarre and unique-looking white-eye, endemic to Pohnpei, in Micronesia’s Caroline Islands. Pale brownish-olive overall, with orange legs and a long curved bill; the two other white-eyes on the island, Pohnpei White-eye and Caroline Islands White-eye, are gray and yellow respectively, and both have short bills. Forages actively, often moving about quickly in small flocks in hilly and montane forests. Gives smooth, high-pitched descending “tseer” notes.

行为
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and plantations. It is considered near-threatened by habitat loss.<p>It has a curious nuthatch-like behavior of creeping along large tree limbs, and seems particularly specialized in using its long, slightly decurved bill to extract arthropods from the severed ends of branches.

Nubian Nightjar
Caprimulgus nubicus
Small and compact nightjar of vegetated semi-desert habitats. Overall rather pale sandy-brown, but note the distinctive rusty hind-collar and buff tips on scapulars and coverts when sitting on the ground. In flight flashes big white patches on wings and tail corners and wings appear relatively short and rounded. Also note the rich rusty underwing. Breeds under bushes, forages in open habitats, and often sits on tracks in the road. Vocalizations sound similar to a distant double-bark, "Kau-kau, kau-kau…"
Russet-crowned Crake
Rufirallus viridis
Fairly small, plump bird with large but disjunct range across much of South America. Dull brown above and rufous below with gray face, rufous crown, red eye, and red legs. Sexes similar. Tends to be quite shy, creeping on the ground in thickets, scrub, wet pastures, and savanna. Found in drier habitats than other rail species. Listen for the trilled song with a clicking or tinkling quality, often stuttering a bit.
Buru White-eye
Zosterops buruensis
A small songbird with a prominent white eye-ring, a narrow yellow band on the forehead, green upperparts, a yellow rump, and an entirely yellow underside. Small groups roam the upper levels of forest, scrub, and patches of trees on farmland in the lowlands and foothills. Restricted to Buru, where the only other species with a bold white eye-ring is Warbling White-eye. Buru White-eye is distinguished from that species by its entirely yellow underparts, including the belly. Gives a rapidly repeated agitated-sounding chattering call,“tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu,” as well as a “chewit” note.
