Nubian Bustard
Neotis nuba
Fairly large and lanky bustard. The face is boldly marked, with black throat and eyebrow patches and a rufous crown. These markings are fainter on females. In flight, shows a large white patch on the wings that is more extensive than those of other bustards in its range. A generally scarce and likely nomadic species that is found in dry savanna and semi-desert habitats of the Sahel. Similar to White-bellied Bustard, but larger and lankier, with a different head and neck pattern.
识别特征
In this species, males average around 5–7 kg (11–15 lb) and measure around 80 cm (31 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) in wingspan. Females are much smaller at around 3 kg (6.6 lb) and 60 cm (24 in) in length and 150 cm (59 in) across the wings. It is smaller than the sympatric Arabian bustard, as well as more rufous with a different body shape. Compared to larger bustards the Nubian has a more rounded body, a relatively long, thin neck and a rounded head.

Yellow-striped Brushfinch
Atlapetes citrinellus
Chunky greenish brushfinch of the understory of semi-humid montane forest in NW Argentina. Distinctive in range. Travels in pairs or small groups, often with mixed species flocks. Told from other Brushfinches by its all green body. Song a very high series of quick metallic warbles.
Plain-winged Antwren
Myrmotherula behni
Small, rare antbird found in lush cloud forest along the east slope of the Andes and in the tepui region of Venezuela, Guyana, and extreme northern Brazil. Male is dark gray with black throat and breast; extent of black is geographically variable. Female is brown with a pale throat. Similar to Slaty Antwren but lacks wing markings. Inhabits forest understory, where often encountered with mixed-species flocks. Song is a series of four to ten soft whistles.
Baudin's Black-Cockatoo
Zanda baudinii
Black cockatoo with white ear patch and white tail panel. Inhabits moist eucalypt forest in the southwestern corner of Western Australia, where it eats seeds from large seed pods of Marri and Karri trees. Unlikely to be observed out on the coastal sand plains of Perth. Very similar to Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo but with much longer, pointed upper mandible. Calls include mournful wailing cries that are more clipped than those of Carnaby’s.
