Toro Olive-Greenbul
Phyllastrephus hypochloris
A drab, long-tailed brownish greenbul. The upperparts are brown and the underparts paler olive-gray. Also note the long bill, brown eye, and slightly paler throat. Found in forest at low and middle elevations, preferring the understory and middle levels of the forest. Separation from other greenbuls is tricky. Very similar to Cabanis’s Greenbul, but lacks pale eye-ring and has darker underparts. More robust and longer-billed than other similarly dull greenbuls, such as Little Greenbul, with a slightly more contrastingly pale throat. The inconspicuous song is a series of low-pitched whistles, often followed by a descending series of several rasping calls. Also gives a series of scolding calls on an even pitch.

The Toro olive greenbul (Phyllastrephus hypochloris) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is found in southern South Sudan and from eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo through Uganda to western Kenya and northern Tanzania. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. The Toro olive greenbul was originally described in the genus Stelgidillas. Alternate names for the Toro olive greenbul include the Toro greenbul and Toro olive bulbul.

Black-faced Apalis
Apalis personata
Black-hooded, green-backed apalis with a white spot on the side of the neck. Found in montane forest of the Albertine Rift. Usually in pairs, which will join mixed-species flocks. An active species that prefers the upper half of the forest, though it will sometimes feed lower. Gives a rattling, repeated three-part call, and also a quick trill. Very similar to Masked Apalis, but has a mostly black head and a white dot rather than a stripe on the side of the neck, and is found at higher elevations.

Distinctive antbird with pale blue eyering and snowy white underparts. Upperparts rufous. Dark mask. Can be difficult to see well; found close to the ground in mature forest, usually in pairs or small flocks following an army ant swarm. Listen for descending, scolding call. Sexes alike.
Moluccan Myzomela
Myzomela simplex
Small, entirely dark sooty-brown honeyeater. Very plain and lacking any colorful distinctive features. Found on the Indonesian island of Halmahera, as well as smaller adjacent islands. Uses forest and forest edge, in the lowlands and at moderate elevations. Similar to female Black Sunbird, but shows a more strongly downcurved bill, less contrast between the upperparts and underparts, and never shows the yellow tones on the belly usually shown by Black Sunbird.
