Double-banded Courser
Smutsornis africanus
Beautiful, cryptic, upland shorebird. Adults show a scaly back and two bands across the chest. Juveniles lack the chest bands but usually associate with adults. Found within savanna and grassland in very open microhabitats such as gravel plains and heavily grazed patches. Call is an accelerating series of high whistles. Somewhat similar to Three-banded Courser but is more diurnal and has a less complex head and chest pattern.
识别特征
The bird's crown is pale and streaked with brown/black feathers. A narrow black stripe extends from the base of the bill, through the eye to the nape. The cheeks, chin, throat and neck are buff/white flecked with dark brown. The feather of the back and wing coverts are sandy brown with dark centres and broadly edged with white/buff. The short bill is blackish, eyes are dark brown and the legs and feet are pale grey.

The double-banded courser is found in Ethiopia, Somalia, South Africa, and Tanzania. The bird is widespread enough to have practically no chance of becoming endangered or extinct.The double-banded courser lives and breeds in flat, stony or gravelly, semi-desert terrains with firm, sandy soil and tufty grass or thorn scrub.

Singing Honeyeater
Gavicalis virescens
Medium-sized honeyeater with an olive-brown back and pale gray underparts. Size and plumage varies considerably across its range. This species tends to favor inland locations, and is found in a wide variety of habitats. Widespread across Australia, and is present in most areas apart from the eastern coast.
Yellow-throated Woodland-Warbler

Classic, small warbler with greenish upperparts and a yellow throat and eye stripe. Varies geographically: can show a reddish or greenish crown. Reddish-crowned birds are easily identified, but greenish-crowned birds can be confused with other warblers. Yellow-throated can still be known by the contrast between its grayish belly and bright yellow bib. Found in moist forest, mostly montane forest away from South Africa. Feeds actively in the midstory and canopy. Pretty song is variable but consists of up-and-down series of whistled notes.
Yellow-browed Antbird
Hypocnemis hypoxantha
Rather small antbird with a disjunct distribution. Males have a yellow face and underparts with a black crown, eye-line, and streaks on the breast. Females have a yellow streaked crown. Southeastern subspecies has ochraceous lower underparts. Song is a descending and decelerating series of fluted notes becoming harsher at the end. Found in the understory of humid forests, often in areas of transitional forest or poor soils. Rarely accompanies mixed-species flocks. The similar Spix's and Peruvian Warbling-Antbirds have white breasts, and the song of Peruvian is somewhat slower-paced.
