Euthlypis lachrymosa
Attractive, rather large warbler with long, expressive, white-tipped tail. Occurs in tropical forest of foothills and lowlands, mainly in winter, especially in areas with open understory and boulders. Forages mainly on or near the ground, flipping its tail loosely from side to side; regularly attends army ant swarms. Sexes look alike, with white face spots, blue-gray upperparts, and rich orange-yellow breast.

The fan-tailed warbler (Basileuterus lachrymosus) is a species of bird in the family Parulidae, the New World warblers. It is found from Mexico to Nicaragua. It has also been recorded as a vagrant in the U. S. states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Its "habit of constant tail-fanning and tail-swinging [is] distinctive".

Squat little owl with dense barring all over the body. Lacks the false eyes on the back of the head possessed by many other owlets. Gives bursts of loud hollow trills, comparable to barbets, as well as a mellow “kaaaooo-kaaaaooo-kah-ow!” A forest species, found in densely wooded areas in lowlands and foothills. Most active at dawn and dusk.

Spectacular ground-dwelling pigeon with long, extravagant plumes trailing down from the neck. Dark green intermixed with gray, blue, and bronzy orange, depending on the light. Inhabits small, densely forested offshore islands from the Indian Andamans to the Solomons and New Guinea.

Ducula galeata
A large pigeon with a mostly dark gray body and a greenish back and wings. Head appears elongated, with a fleshy saddle at the base of the bill. Chestnut rear underside is most obvious in flight. Resident in remote forested valleys above 700 meters of elevation. Most common vocalisation is a very harsh, crow-like “krrrahhh,” most often heard in the early morning.
