Green Shrike-Babbler
Pteruthius xanthochlorus
A small and unobtrusive inhabitant of montane forests. Round-headed and short-billed. Variable across its expansive range, but male tends to be slightly more colorful than the female, which has a lighter gray head and tinges of greenish-yellow on the back and flanks. A white eyering of varying thickness is present in some subspecies. Overall, however, a gray head, pale belly, and olive green upperparts are found regardless of region or sex.

This species is about 13 centimeters in length. The male bird has a grey head, with olive-green on its back. Its throat and breast are a pale ashy grey color, with a yellow belly. The crown is blackish. The female bird is slightly duller than the male and has a greyish crown.

分布与栖息地
It is found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. This species is usually found in deciduous and coniferous forests, at altitudes of 2100–3000 meters above sea level, during most seasons. However, they may descend to lower altitudes in winter. In India, the species is found in Darjeeling, Sikkim, Uttrakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.

Mottled Duck
Anas fulvigula
Dark-bodied with a creamy face. About the same size as Mallard. Overall color is darker than female Mallards and paler than American Black Duck. White bars in wing are very narrow, and may not be noticeable. Males have bright yellow bill, females have duller olive bill. Inhabits wetlands of Florida and coastal areas from Louisiana to Mexico.

A slim species of mountain forests where it feeds on insects at middle elevation. Males have a black head, chest, and back that contrast with a yellow belly and rump. Females are dull yellow-green above and dingy yellow below. Montserrat Orioles are larger than warblers, vireos, and tanagers and they have a long, relatively thick-based and sharply tipped bill. No similar species occur within its range. Vocalizations include loud whistles and harsh chrrrr-like calls.

Yellow-headed Manakin

Rare and local in cloud forest from around 1,200-2,400m. Unique: mostly olive with contrasting yellow crown and dull reddish eye. Paler yellowish belly. Like most manakins, quite plump with a short bill. Female similar to male but slightly duller. Found in the understory of forest, where it is rather quiet and unobtrusive. Occasionally follows mixed-species flocks.
