Gray Greenbul
Eurillas gracilis
A small, slender greenbul most often found near forest edge and in other disturbed and semi-disturbed habitats. Olive below, becoming more yellow toward the belly, and olive-green above, becoming grayer toward the head with noticeable white eye-arcs. Similar to other dully colored greenbuls, especially Ansorge’s Greenbul and Plain Greenbul, but note Gray Greenbul’s edge habitat preferences, yellowish belly, and distinctive song: a plaintive, halting “teach-er, who teach-es you?” that generally rises in pitch.

The little grey greenbul was originally described in the genus Andropadus and was re-classified to the genus Eurillas in 2010. Alternatively, some authorities classify the little greenbul in the genus Pycnonotus. Alternate names for the little grey greenbul include the grey greenbul and little grey bulbul.<p>Three subspecies are recognized. Some authorities have also considered Ansorge's greenbul as a subspecies of the little grey greenbul:

Corvus frugilegus
Large, glossy black crow. Adult is easily passed off as another crow species unless you see the diagnostic pale patch at the base of the bill. Juvenile lacks a pale bill base and is very similar to Carrion Crow, but bill is a little more tapered; pale bill base develops late in its first winter. Inhabits farmland and other semiopen areas with hedges and groups of tall trees, where nests in rookeries. Forages on ground, usually in flocks, and associates readily with crows and jackdaws. Rook calls are higher pitched and less rolling than other crow calls.
Humblot's Heron
Ardea humbloti
Large, all-dark heron with a pale bill. Generally rare, and usually seen alone. Found on freshwater lakes and wetlands, along rivers, and on coastal mudflats, mostly at low elevation. Similar in size to Gray Heron, but lacks conspicuous contrast in its plumage. Also similar to Purple Heron, but larger, thicker-billed, and without striping on the neck.
Asian Fairy-bluebird
Irena puella
Chunky tree-dweller with blood-red eyes. Spectacular male is decked out in midnight black and electric blue. Female is dark turquoise with dark wingtips. Gathers at fruiting and flowering trees. A species of lowland and foothill evergreen forests, though will occasionally venture into gardens and plantations. Song includes various notes, often paired, such as “wit!” and “wi’wit!” Gives “tik” calls when flying overhead.
