Gray Tinamou
Tinamus tao
Very large chicken-like bird, widespread across the Amazon basin, but nowhere common. Distinguished from other tinamous by entirely gray plumage with fine black barring on the upperparts and some white speckling on the head. Gray Tinamou is also larger than other large species such as Great and White-throated Tinamous. Favors areas of upland forest and is most often encountered by voice, a single, short hollow whistle given at long intervals.

In body mass, males may scale from 1,325 to 1,863 g (2.921 to 4.107 lb), averaging 1,565 g (3.450 lb), and females can weigh from 1,430 to 2,080 g (3.15 to 4.59 lb), averaging 1,636 g (3.607 lb) and possibly weighing as much as 2,300 g (5.1 lb). As suggested by its name, it is mostly grey. The back and head are barred blackish, and its vent is cinnamon. White spotting extends along the head and down the neck.

分布与栖息地
The grey tinamou is found throughout western and northern Brazil, eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru, Colombia east of the Andes, northern Venezuela, northern Bolivia, and Guyana.<p>In most of its range it is essentially restricted to humid lowland forests, but in the northern and far western parts of its range it mainly occurs in montane forests. This tinamou has shown the ability to utilize forests that have been cleared by logging. As most other tinamous, its song is commonly heard, but it is shy and only infrequently seen.

Ceyx melanurus
A tiny kingfisher of lowland forests, often near streams. Overall orange, brighter on the underparts and face, with bright red bill and legs, a white throat, belly, and mark behind the cheek, and black stripes down the side of the back. Note the pinkish-purple tinge to the head and chest. Birds on Luzon have a darker wing and a bluish ear. Somewhat similar to Dimorphic Dwarf-Kingfisher, especially when seen from the front or below, but Philippine lacks the bright blue head and back. Voice is a rather sharp, high-pitched note, “tsreek.”

Black-faced Monarch
Monarcha melanopsis
A slim songbird with rather long tail and substantial bill. Gray above, rufous below, with gray head, black forehead and throat. Juvenile lacks black in face. In all plumages, small white crescent in front of eye. Often perches horizontally, slightly raising tail. Inhabits wetter forested areas along eastern coast of Australia, where it forages slowly for insects in foliage.

Sulawesi Hawk-Eagle
Nisaetus lanceolatus
Adult shows a dark brown crested head, a white throat with central streak, a rufous breast with bold streaking, a densely barred belly, and feathered thighs. In flight, note densely barred body and forewings, sparse bars on outer wing, and evenly barred tail. Immatures show white on head and underparts and dark brown above, with narrower tail bars. Wings broad, with bulging inner wing. Found in tall forest from lowlands to mountains. More heavily built, larger-headed, and larger-billed than Sulawesi Honey-Buzzard, and also has feathered thighs and more evenly spaced tail bars. Immature resembles young Rufous-bellied Eagle, but hawk-eagle lacks dark flanks and mask. Gives a loud “ke-ke-ke-ke…” call.
