Cinereous Bunting
Emberiza cineracea
Similar to Ortolan and Cretzschmar's Buntings. Males are faintly-streaked with a yellow-green head. Some populations have a yellow belly while others have a gray-white belly. Females and young lack bright yellow tones and are faintly streaked on the throat and breast. Belly whitish, not orange or buff like Ortolan and Cretzschmar’s Bunting. Breeds on open rocky mountain slopes with scattered bushes. During migration found in a varity of open habitats. Flight call is similar to that of Cretzschmar's Bunting, a sharp "Tzip."

It is less streaked than many buntings and has a thick pale bill. It has a greyish back with only subdued dark markings, and a browner tint to the wings.
The adult male's head is dull yellow, with a brighter moustachial line and throat. In the nominate race of south-west Turkey, the rest of the underparts are grey, but the eastern form E. c. semenowi has yellow underparts.
Females are brownish grey above with a whitish throat and yellow only in the moustachial stripe. Young birds have a plain pale belly and streaking on the breast.

Scrub Greenlet
Hylophilus flavipes
Small vireo-like bird, olive above and yellowish below with a grayer head. Quite nondescript but look for pointy pink bill, and in most populations, a pale eye. Birds on Tobago have dark eyes. Sexes alike. Prefers scrubby second growth, usually low. Often seen in pairs. Listen for simple series of whistled notes.

White-necked Babbler
Stachyris leucotis
Brown babbler with a black throat and scale-like white feathers on the brow and neck. Favors slopes of lowland and foothill forests. Forages just above or on the ground; frequently in mixed flocks with other similarly-sized babblers. Song is a short series of mellow and beautiful melodic whistles.

Red-eyed Bulbul
Pycnonotus brunneus
Nondescript plain brown bulbul with dull red eyes. Buffy brown vent distinguishes it from similar red-eyed form of Cream-vented Bulbul. Has neither the olive wing patches of Olive-winged Bulbul nor the streaked ear coverts of Streak-eared Bulbul. Red eye is not surrounded by the orangish eyering of Spectacled Bulbul. Forages primarily in the middle and upper levels of forest, often with other species in mixed flocks. Song is a relatively monotonous series of upslurred whistles.
