Cinnamon-rumped Seedeater
Sporophila torqueola
Sharply-patterned little bird of grassland and weedy areas in the tropical lowlands and foothills in West Mexico. Often in flocks, mixing readily with other “weed-eating” small birds. Males are warm cinnamon on the belly and rump with a black cap, black breast band, bright white collar, and small white wing patch. Females are plain brownish overall.

This species is one of two resulting from the split of the former white-collared seedeater. The other former white-collared seedeater subspecies are now known as Morelet's seedeater. Genetic studies show that the cinnamon-rumped seedeater is more closely related to other Sporophila seedeaters than it is to Morelet's seedeater. There are two subspecies:

分布与栖息地
The cinnamon-rumped seedeater is endemic to western Mexico. It mainly inhabits tropical and subtropical grasslands, savannas, and shrublands but can also be found in pastures, arable land, and heavily degraded former forests.

White-rumped Swiftlet
Aerodramus spodiopygius
A small, mostly gray swiftlet, paler beneath with a pale throat and darker cap. White rump varies from white to pale gray. Occurs over a wide range of habitats up to 1900 meters of elevation. Similar to both Uniform Swiftlet and Mayr’s Swiftlet, but smaller, with a paler rump. Main call is a pleasant twitter, “twee-twee-chew-chew.”
Hairy-backed Bulbul
Tricholestes criniger
Small gracile bulbul with brown upperparts, dirty-yellow underparts, and surprised-looking large dark eye accentuated by yellow eyering. Somewhat like a babbler in proportions and behavior; forages, often with mixed flocks, at lower and middle strata of forests. Inhabits mature and advanced secondary forests from lowlands up to around 1,000 meters. Scolds “chee-chuu” repetitively and gives soft ascending whistles.
Rosy-faced Lovebird
Agapornis roseicollis
A small, short-tailed parrot with a soft pink face and dark eyes. Native to southwestern Africa, but feral populations occur in Arizona and in Hawaii; a common pet species, and escapees may occur anywhere. Wild birds are leaf green with brilliant blue rumps, but escaped domestic types may be mostly blue or yellow. Inhabits dry forests and river valleys; present in cities in both natural and introduced range. Call is a shrill, high whistle.
