White-throated Pewee
Contopus albogularis
Small, inconspicuous, locally-distributed flycatcher. Both sexes are entirely dark gray with exception of prominent white throat patch. Inhabits rainforest, usually in areas with numerous rock outcrops, inselbergs, or bauxite plateaus. Found alone or in pairs, in canopy or just beneath it; sallies from perches to catch insects in mid-air, often returning to the same perch. Much darker than Tropical Pewee or Eastern/Western Wood-Pewee; range does not overlap with those of other dark pewees, all of which lack white in throat. Sharp, piping call notes are often overlooked, though they may be given for long periods throughout the day.

Pachyglossa everetti
Generally uncommon, dull flowerpecker. Drab brown overall with paler underparts, olive-tinged wings, and pale eyes. Found in lowland and foothill forests; favors wetter habitats. Forages actively. Gives hard metallic “tchip” calls.
Ringed Warbling Finch
Microspingus torquatus
Striking tanager of open woodland, consisting of two relatively distinctive subspecies. Distinguished from other warbling-finches in range by its black breast band. Nominate torquatus is a resident of the southern Bolivian Andes, especially open scrub and cactus forest of the dry valleys. Migratory pectoralis shows a thicker breast band and darker undertail coverts, and breeds in the Pampas, Monte, and northern Chaco dry forests in north central Argentina, dispersing north to lowlands of W Paraguay and SE Bolivia.
La Selle Thrush
Turdus swalesi
A striking medium-sized, ground-dwelling bird of wet forests with dense foliage. Extremely shy; best seen right at dawn when it sometimes visits road and trail edges. No other species in range shares its starkly contrasting black upperparts and largely orange belly. Also note its bright orange bill and eyering, which are shared with the Red-legged Thrush, but note the gray underparts on Red-legged Thrush. Song is a combination of brief up-slurred and down-slurred notes plus sweet whistles of varying length that are given slowly and repetitively.
