Yellow-chinned Sunbird
Anthreptes rectirostris
A very small sunbird with a short, slightly curved bill. Males are iridescent leaf green above with a red-and-black chest band, yellow throat, and buffy gray belly. Females are drab and warbler-like with an inconspicuous pale eyebrow. Found in rainforest, farmbush, and plantations, mostly in the canopy. Males are similar to Collared Sunbird, but can be separated by the yellow rather than green chin, and the red chest band. Females can be confused with Green Hylia, which is smaller with much less conspicuous pale markings on the face.

The yellow-chinned sunbird (Anthreptes rectirostris) is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is found in West Africa, namely Sierra Leone to Ghana. The grey-chinned sunbird (Anthreptes tephrolaemus) was formerly grouped with this species.

Black Harrier
Circus maurus
A striking, mostly dark harrier with large white panels in the underwings, a white rump, and bands on the tail. The juvenile is brown with white flashes in the underwings and has a heavily-streaked chest. It quarters low over heath-like fynbos, semi-desert Karoo, and dune brush hunting for small birds and mammals. Regularly disperses irruptively north into grasslands and steppe from January to July.
Dusky White-eye

Small and rather drab. Brown above, darkest on head and wings. Grayish-buff below with a grayer throat. Can appear uniformly gray in dull forest light. Dark eye lacks a white eye-ring. Most common in forest but also found in forest edge and brush. Giant White-eye similar but overall darker, with thick orange bill and pale yellowish eyebrow. Dusky’s most common call is a “cheee.”
Opalton Grasswren
Amytornis rowleyi
Small, long-tailed bird with black moustache and rufous-brown upperparts, found only in the Winton-Opalton area of western Queensland, where it is the only expected grasswren. This species is found in habitat with large spinifex clumps, where it scurries around between clumps. Upperparts rufous-brown, with white throat and pale underparts. Formerly considered a subspecies of Striated Grasswren.
