Vega Gull
Larus vegae
A large, sturdy gull of East Asia. Adults have a fairly pale gray back, pale eye, and dull pinkish legs. Takes four years for immatures to progress from mostly brown to fully white and gray adult plumage; intermediate plumages are often mottled and messy. Extremely variable plumage can make identification tricky. Occurs inland and along the coast, frequenting river mouths, harbors, beaches, lakes, and ponds. Often forms flocks with other gulls. Back color of adults generally a shade darker than that of American Herring Gull. Very similar to Mongolian Gull, and separation is tricky, but has a larger head and bill; adults also generally have pinker legs.

Brewer's Blackbird
Euphagus cyanocephalus
Breeding males are glossy black with purplish head and greenish sheen on body. Nonbreeding males have pale eyebrows and staring yellow eye. Females are plain dark brown and typically have dark eyes. Forages by walking on ground. Sometimes in mixed flocks with other blackbirds at feedlots. Also, walks along parking lots, golf courses, or roadsides. Females similar to Brown-headed Cowbird, but with longer, thinner bill and longer tail than cowbird.
Tacarcuna Chlorospingus
Chlorospingus tacarcunae
Fairly small tanager-like sparrow with an extremely tiny range in Panama. Occurs in humid forests from around 800–1,500 m. Olive-brownish overall with brighter yellow-ochre underparts and grayish belly. Note pale eyes. Very similar to Pirre Chlorospingus but apparently little or no range overlap; Tacarcuna has grayer belly and less contrasting dark face than Pirre Cholorspingus. Like other chlorospingus, typically found in small groups, often with a mixed-species flock. Usually sticks to the understory or middle levels.
Plumbeous Forest-Falcon
Micrastur plumbeus
Rare raptor found in wet rainforest in northwestern Ecuador and western Colombia. Adult is gray with barred underparts and orange face and legs. It is extremely similar to the much more common Barred Forest-Falcon; tail is shorter and only shows one band, though this is often hard to see; facial skin and legs are deep orange and usually darker than the yellow to orange hue of Barred. Immature is mostly white below with only faint barring on the breast. Vocalizations are similar and in some cases almost identical to those of Barred Forest-Falcon.
