Rufous-breasted Chat-Tyrant

Adult males have dark blue head, back, and wings. Breast and sides are deep orange with orange sometimes bleeding onto back. Females are grayer overall with orange on breast, blue usually restricted to wings and tail. Favors fields with some trees and open woods. Often in small groups. Frequently perches on wires or fence posts. Nests in cavities. Range barely overlaps Eastern Bluebird, but note orange on back of males and grayer belly and sides of neck on female.

Large blackbird with a long, thin bill found in marshes and wetlands. Mostly dark brown with a yellow belly, rump, and shoulders. Sexes similar, but juveniles are browner overall. Can be seen in large groups of up to 50 individuals sometimes with other blackbirds. The call is nasal and buzzy.

Crow-sized raptor typically found around forest edges and rivers. Entirely black except for gleaming white rump and bright facial skin and legs. Similar to Red-throated Caracara that occurs in forest interiors, but has more extensive black plumage and is found in more open habitats. Frequently travels in pairs or groups and is often found around human activity in agricultural areas and riverside towns.
