Chestnut-faced Babbler

Zosterornis whiteheadi

A fairly small bird of montane forest and scrub on Luzon. Medium brown above, with a gray crown, pale yellow underparts, a rufous mask and forehead, and a broken white eye-ring. A gregarious species, often forming large flocks. Somewhat similar to white-eyes, but has an obvious chestnut mask. Song is a forceful, jumbled whistled melody. Also gives noisy chattering calls.
