Chestnut-headed Partridge
Arborophila cambodiana
Shy and secretive small gamebird restricted to the Cardamom range of Cambodia and far eastern Thailand. Richly patterned, with a bright orange breast, black-and-white scaled sides, and black-barred brown upperparts. Cambodian birds also have a bright orange head and neck. Forages in pairs on the forest floor, duetting loudly to one another in the morning and early afternoon, giving loud ascending couplets followed by a series of chipping notes from one of the pair.

Colima Warbler
Leiothlypis crissalis
Rather drab warbler of highlands in Mexico. Dusky gray-brown overall with grayer head, bold white eyering, buffy flanks, and mustard-yellow undertail coverts. Sings from atop bushes and small trees, but otherwise rather skulking, generally staying low and well-hidden. Does not join mixed-species flocks. Breeds in oak scrub and thickets within mountainous pine-oak forest. Winters in brushy flower banks and tangles within pine-oak forest. Breeding range barely enters the U.S. in the Big Bend region of Texas.

Pearl-breasted Swallow
Hirundo dimidiata
A martin-like swallow with a bicolored plumage pattern of steel-blue upperparts and pale underparts. Pairs or small groups flit low over grassland, scrub, farmland, and open woodland, often near water. It is a migrant to the southern parts of South Africa, but it is resident elsewhere, with some poorly understood movements. The Pearl-breasted Swallow differs from House Martin and Gray-rumped Swallow by having a dark (not pale) rump and pale (not dark) underwings.

Riverside Wren
Cantorchilus semibadius
Medium-sized wren with rufous upperparts and bold black-and-white barred underparts. Complex black-and-white face pattern. Sexes alike. Found in pairs or small groups, foraging in the lower levels of forests and shrubby edges.
