Red-necked Buzzard
Buteo auguralis
This is the common buzzard of much of the Sahel in north, west, and central Africa. Typically has a brown back, a dark chest, a black-spotted white belly, and a rufous tail. Can variably show rufous on the neck and breast. Dark brown immatures lack rufous on the tail. In flight, shows a white underwing with a thick black border. Found in savanna, broadleaf woodland, and forest clearings. Similar to Common Buzzard, but separated by the contrasting underparts: a dark chest and a white belly. The call is a drawn-out squeal.

分布与栖息地
The red-necked buzzard prefers forest edges and clearings, including those within secondary and primary forests but it occurs in cultivated areas and is generally absent from the main areas of lowland rainforest up to an altitude of 2,500 metres. The red-necked buzzard occurs in a broad band running from Mauritania south to Liberia then eastwards to Ethiopia and Uganda, as well as south along the Gulf of Guinea coast through Gabon to the Democratic Republic of Congo and north-eastern Angola.<p>The red-necked buzzard is a partial migrant, the northern populations may be completely migrant which leave the savanna following the rains and spend the dry season to the south along the edge of the main forest zone.

Philippine Swiftlet
Aerodramus mearnsi
Uncommon dark swiftlet. Endemic to a smattering of the Philippines islands, from Luzon to Mindanao to Palawan. Habitat can be helpful in identifying this confusing species; generally favors ridges and slopes in montane and submontane areas above 700-800 meters. Readily confused with significantly larger Ameline Swiftlet, but present species has a more squared-off-looking tail (fork is shallow and often unnoticeable), tends to fly lower and more erratically, and more often forms flocks. Combination of dark rump, unglossed dark back, and medium size separates this species from Gray-rumped Swiftlet, Pygmy Swiftlet, and Ridgetop Swiftlet. Frequently calls while in flight, giving a squeaky chattering twitter.

Tapajos Antpitta
Myrmothera subcanescens
Retiring species, almost tailless with very long robust legs. Has a reddish brown-back and white underparts streaked olive-gray. Hops, or occasionally walks very quietly, on the ground of humid forest, normally close to fallen trees in dense undergrowth. Song is a haunting series of low hollow notes that increase in volume, audible from a long distance.

Gray Cuckooshrike
Ceblepyris caesius
Large, chunky, all-gray cuckooshrike. There is a pale ring around the dark eye, giving the face a gentle appearance. Males are darker gray than females. Found in forest; away from South Africa, exclusively in montane forest. Quiet and unobtrusive bird that is easily missed as it moves slowly through the forest midstory. Call is a quiet, high-pitched, descending “seeeeuup.” Similar to White-breasted Cuckooshrike, but has much darker underparts and is found in forest rather than woodland.
