White-nest Swiftlet
Aerodramus fuciphagus
A small acrobatic swiftlet, often in large swirling flocks above fields, forests, and settlements. Dark brown above, washed-out gray-brown below; all but identical for the most part to many other swiftlets in range. Rump is marginally paler than Himalayan, Black-nest, and Mossy-nest swiftlets, but not white, as in House Swift. Most reliably identified while on the nest, a pale gelatinous bowl in a cave or crevice. Often nests in large colonies with other swiftlet species. Gives buzzy trills in flight.

Socotra Sunbird
Chalcomitra balfouri
Odd and distinctive sunbird in which both sexes have a female-like plumage. Shows brown upperparts, pale underparts with black scaling and streaking, a black throat, and white whiskers. There are small yellow tufts at the shoulders, which can be hidden. Found in habitats with trees and bushes on the island of Socotra. Gives a twittering song, and also sometimes mimics other bird species.

Gray Kingbird
Tyrannus dominicensis
A relatively pale kingbird, medium-gray above and white below with a darker face mask. Primarily a Caribbean species with limited range in U.S.; found around the edge of dense woodland, especially near the coast. Also seen in more suburban areas. Often perches conspicuously on a snag, treetop, or powerline. Feeds on insects. Listen for its high-pitched twittering calls. Compare with Eastern and Loggerhead Kingbirds; Gray Kingbird has lighter gray upperparts, a thicker bill, and lacks white tail tips.

White-eyed Stipplethroat
Epinecrophylla leucophthalma
Brown antwren of rainforest understory and midstory. Males are grayish brown, with black speckling on the throat, and whitish or buffy wing bars; females are buffy brown with buffy wing bars. Lacks the rufous back of some similar antwrens, and is fairly long-tailed for an antwren. Does not always have a white eye, with a variable eye color that is often brown in some areas. A common member of understory mixed species flocks, where searches for insects in curled dead leaves.
