Cream-colored Courser
Cursorius cursor
Distinctive wader of desert areas, uniform sandy-brown with a blue back of head framed by a white and black stripe meeting at the nape. Bill is slightly down-curved. Very tall and slim with long legs that it uses to run across desert and semi-desert areas with its head held high. Dramatically patterned in flight with black flight feathers and underwings contrasting with its sandy body.
识别特征
These birds have long legs and long wings. They have slightly downcurved bills. The body plumage is sandy in colour, fading to whitish on the lower belly. The upperwing primary feathers and the underwings are black. The crown and nape are grey, and there is a black eyestripe and white supercilium.<p>In flight, this species resembles a pratincole with its relaxed wingbeats, pointed wings and dark underwings.

These coursers are found in Canary Islands, Cape Verde, North Africa and Southwest Asia. Their two eggs are laid in a ground scrape. The breeding season extends from February to September, but they may breed also in autumn and winter when local conditions (especially rainfall) are favourable. They are partially migratory, with northern and northwestern birds wintering in India, Arabia and across the southern edge of the Sahara. Some birds also breed in the southern desert regions in northwestern India and Pakistan.<p>They are rare north of the breeding range, but this species has occurred as far away as Finland, Ireland and Great Britain.

Moustached Warbler
Acrocephalus melanopogon
Resembles Sedge Warbler, but larger with a thick and well-marked white eyebrow and throat; contrasting dark cap; rufous rump, nape, and sides; short wings; and dark legs (pale in Sedge). Found in dense reed beds, often with bulrush stands. Makes muffled "treck" calls recalling a stonechat. Scratchy, repetitive song is given from the upper half of a plant stalk; does not sing in flight.

A bizarre bird that loosely resembles a cormorant with a hornbill’s brightly-colored beak. Gray-brown overall with a black mask extending from the face down to the throat that is darker and more extensive in males. A reclusive species, typically encountered at dawn or dusk, skulking in well-vegetated waterways such as mangroves, swamps, and shaded rivers. Gives a loud odd bubbling call followed by an amphibian-like series of clucks.

A dapper and long-tailed inhabitant of Java’s foothill and montane forests. Warm brown overall, with a silvery nape, dark face, and jet-black wings marked with a small white patch. Extremely long, round-tipped tail is silver-gray above with a dark tip, and predominantly dark below with a pale band near the tip. Forages at all levels of the forest, often hopping amongst leaf clusters and moving between trees in fast, fluttering flight. Calls include coarse grating squawks, a fluid “tlee’lee”, and a series of short hoarse “whurr!” notes.
