Zapata Wren
Ferminia cerverai
A highly secretive denizen of sawgrass marshes. This small brown bird, with heavy barring above, and a somewhat long, down-curved bill has no similar species within its range. It is most often found by its song: “Tseuu-we-we-we-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu” or variations thereof. The song’s middle notes and/or end notes are sometimes buzzy and the end notes are sometimes given as a trill. Calls include a series of rapid ticks, hard buzzy chips, and a variety of harsh notes.
识别特征
Measuring about 16 centimetres (6.3 in) in length, it is brown overall, though striped with black and with grayish underparts. Its tail is long. The bird's song is similar to that of the house wren, in that it is high-pitched and loud, described as a "musical warble preceded by guttural note, given in series of three or four phrases."[citation needed]

Large, mostly green parrot with large red patches around the eyes and forehead and on the leading edge of the wing and shoulders. Note the bare white eyering. Patchily distributed; found mostly found in Araucaria forest. Nests in open woodland.
Gray-breasted Seedsnipe
Thinocorus orbignyianus
Stocky, rather small, quail-like bird of the Andes. Favors open rocky slopes, stony plains, and adjacent bogs. Found in pairs or small groups. Male has hooting song given from low mounds or fence posts and during display flight. Flight is strong and fast; flushes with loud bleating chatters. Similar Least Seedsnipe is smaller, favors sandier and grassier habitats, and often occurs in lowlands. Note plain gray breast of male Gray-breasted unlike the black Y pattern present on Least Seedsnipe.
