Silver-throated Tit
Aegithalos glaucogularis
An energetic little bird with a tennis ball body and a long tail. Dark above and pale below with a dark gray patch on throat. Usually found in small flocks of its own species, foraging noisily and acrobatically in temperate forests and parks. In the far northern part of its range, overlaps marginally with Northern Long-tailed Tit, which lacks the gray throat patch.
Taxonomy
The silver-throated bushtit was formerly considered a subspecies of the long-tailed tit (Aegithalos caudatus) but its plumage is distinctive and there are significant genetic differences.<p>Two subspecies are recognized:

Green-cheeked Parakeet
Pyrrhura molinae
Long-tailed parakeet with a brown crown and green cheeks; depending on the subspecies, the breast is either white or yellow, and the maroon belly patch is often reduced. Found in woodland and gallery forest; usually seen foraging or flying in noisy groups.
Jamaican Euphonia
Euphonia jamaica
A very small and active inhabitant of most wooded habitats and gardens where it forages mostly on fruits and flowers. Note this species’ short, stubby bill, and mostly gray head and underparts. The Orangequit is somewhat similar but is readily distinguished by its longer and slightly curved bill. Additionally, male Orangequits are darker gray and have an orange throat, while female Orangequits have brown upperparts. Song is rapid-fire jumble of squeaks, whistles, and buzzes. The call note is a sharp “tseet.” Jamaican Euphonias also give a scratchy, squeaky “bao,” which is given singly, in series, or interjected into songs.
White-throated Shrike-Tanager
Lanio leucothorax
Large, long-tailed tanager with heavy hooked bill. Striking plumage is reminiscent of an oriole: yellow body with black head, black wings, white throat, and white shoulder patch. Female brown with paler throat and yellow belly. Note especially bill shape and habitat. Found in forests, usually at moderate heights, often in pairs leading a mixed-species flock.
