Sooty-headed Tyrannulet

Phyllomyias griseiceps

Small flycatcher with notably dark crown. Olive-brownish above and pale yellow below with whiter throat. Wings are dull with no prominent wingbars. Also note narrow white line above eye. Sexes alike. Found in the canopy of open woodland, forest edges, and clearings in the lowlands and foothills. Listen for song, a chuckling “whip, whip, widdy-dip-dip”
