Rennell Gerygone

Gerygone citrina

Small warbler-like bird, endemic to Rennell Island, in the southern Solomon Islands. Fairly distinctive within its tiny range; note the slender black bill, gray cap, white throat, olive back, and yellow belly. Pale eye is marked with white eye crescents. Widespread in most habitats, including forest edges and gardens. Song is a simple, up-and-down series of repetitive tinkling notes.
