Yucatan Flycatcher
Myiarchus yucatanensis
Medium-size Myiarchus flycatcher of tropical woodland and edge in the Yucatan Peninsula. Found mainly at mid-upper levels in trees, and like all members of the genus feeds at fruiting trees, especially the widespread gumbo limbo. Very similar to local populations of Dusky-capped Flycatcher, with dull pale wingbars and limited rusty edging to the tail feathers. Best identified by voice. Most noticeable visual differences from Dusky-capped are a broad, paler grayish area around the eyes, and crisper and brighter whitish edging to the tertials.

The Yucatan flycatcher (Myiarchus yucatanensis) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Belize, Guatemala and Mexico.

Greater Striped Swallow
Cecropis cucullata
Large, beautiful swallow with a long, forked tail. Note the rufous cap, cinnamon rump, and pale buffy underparts with fine streaking. Usually found in grassland and wetland, though can be seen in other habitats, especially when migrating. Often in flocks, sometimes mixed with other swallow species. Similar to Lesser Striped Swallow, but larger, with buffy underparts with finer streaks, and with less orange on the face.
Reischek's Parakeet
Cyanoramphus hochstetteri
A medium-sized, emerald-green parakeet endemic to the Antipodes Islands, including smaller outer islands. Recognized by its distinctive bright red crown and small red patches behind the eyes. Green body plumage has a slight yellowish tint. Males are larger than females. Most commonly found in areas of low vegetation and open areas along the coast. Forms small flocks in autumn and winter. Calls are a distinctive parakeet chatter. Distinguished from Red-crowned Parakeet by lack of range overlap and the more yellow-green body plumage. Easily distinguished from larger, all-green Antipodes Island Parakeet.
Nauru Reed Warbler
Acrocephalus rehsei
A medium-sized warm brown reed warbler with a thin straight bill and very rounded wings. Head, shoulders, and back are rufous tinted. Shows a strong pale eyebrow. Found in gardens, coastal scrub, and escarpment forest. Voice little known, but song apparently melodious and thrush-like.
