Chestnut-breasted Mountain Finch
Poospizopsis caesar
Medium-sized sparrow-like bird of rocky mountain scrub habitats. Gray above and white below, with a black mask, a white eyebrow, and a large red chest patch. Forages singly or in pairs low in shrubs and on the ground. Larger than brushfinches and more likely to be found in open areas. Listen for its sweet warbling whistled song.

Fischer's Starling
Lamprotornis fischeri
An unusual gray-and-white starling of dry country. Note the gray hood, pale eye, whitish crown, and gray rump. The large white patches on the underwing are distinctive in flight. Found in dry savanna, in cultivated areas, and around human habitation, usually in flocks. Most similar to Wattled Starling, but has a gray rather than white rump, a pale eye, and a distinct gray hood. The most common call is a rising, slurred whistle, sometimes given in a long series.

Small, dark falcon with rusty reddish underparts, dark gray to blackish upperparts, and long, thin and pointed wings.. Black markings cover cheek, eye, and crown (black hood much reduced compared to Peregrine Falcon). Captures airborne prey, mainly birds. Occurs in a wide variety of open habitats, including urban areas.
White-faced Ibis
Plegadis chihi
Long decurved bill. Dark overall with iridescent green and reddish tones on adults. Broad white border to reddish face and red eyes. Found mainly in shallow wetlands of the western U.S. Best distinguished from Glossy Ibis by range and facial pattern. Also note more subtle features: reddish legs and paler bronzy tones to wings.
